Bob and KJ reconvene to recap the Hyner 50K — Paul left it all out there at 6:06, Elliot had a solid day, KJ ran his fastest Hyner ever despite a deeply unwise dive bar pizza the night before, and Bob rolled his ankle at mile 4, kicked the other foot into a rock, ran out of water, and DNF’d at mile 16. Allegedly while wearing two watches. The cake table at the finish line is real, and SOB Hill earned its name.

Also on deck: Bob tours the First Division Museum at Cantigny, KJ paces Motivation Theory Running to a big PR at the C&O Canal 100, then walks up the AT to Jefferson’s Rock, lipoprotein(a), KJ pitches a fix the Western States lottery and Bob counters with an Olympic-style qualifier race (held at Hyner, naturally).
