You Said 100 Miles? · Episode 24 · Jul 1, 2026
Tricerabottoms.
Bob is out of injury jail — sort of. The bone bruise still won't quit, so there's now a rigid carbon plate living in one shoe, a health-insurance mystery he refuses to let go of, and a certain very-trending procedure finally checked off the list. Meanwhile KJ preps for Badwater the only sensible way: baking in his condo sauna until he's a certified Heat Champion (belt included), then cramming a Furnace 50K, Eastern States, and a wedding into the same three weeks. We recap Western States from the couch — Tammy Hellings' incredible late rally, the new pole and traction-device rules, and Oak's fateful portapotty miscalculation — then coin the term ultrarunning has been missing: the tricerabottom (you'll have to listen). Captain's Corner heads to the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library in Staunton (pronounced "Stanton"), Bob strikes out at the Met but wins Central Park, KJ visits the Flight 93 Memorial, and caps it off with a surprise first-place relay leg at Laurel Highlands. Back in about a month — we'll make July happen. Got a DNF — or a DNOF — story of your own? Go write it at https://chatdnf.com. You Said 100 Miles has a website, with auto-scrolling transcripts Bob spent way too long building: https://yousaid100miles.com — come join the Discord. Across the network
The lineup.
4 SHOWSYou Said 100 Miles? started as the story of Bucket Hat Bob diving into the world of ultrarunning. It started with a couch to 5K in 2020, and just kept escalating through finishing a 100 mile race in 2023. Originally envisioned as a limited series, the community has kept Bucket Hat Bob on the air. Season 1 with co-host Sass is the original run and story of that build. Season 2 is some experimental interviewing. Today, we're continuing season 3 with co-host KJ covering all sorts of ultrarunning topics (and museums) along with guests from the running community along the way. Come to the trails. We have snacks!
A podcast about Hazbin Hotel. We've seen every episode. We have opinions.
A dumb podcast where we complain about how we don’t get the things we want.
Join wannabe writers Erica and Sheila on an embarrassing journey through the writings of their younger selves.
