Tricerabottoms.

Bob is out of injury jail — sort of. The bone bruise still won't quit, so there's now a rigid carbon plate living in one shoe, a health-insurance mystery he refuses to let go of, and a certain very-trending procedure finally checked off the list. Meanwhile KJ preps for Badwater the only sensible way: baking in his condo sauna until he's a certified Heat Champion (belt included), then cramming a Furnace 50K, Eastern States, and a wedding into the same three weeks. We recap Western States from the couch — Tammy Hellings' incredible late rally, the new pole and traction-device rules, and Oak's fateful portapotty miscalculation — then coin the term ultrarunning has been missing: the tricerabottom (you'll have to listen). Captain's Corner heads to the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library in Staunton (pronounced "Stanton"), Bob strikes out at the Met but wins Central Park, KJ visits the Flight 93 Memorial, and caps it off with a surprise first-place relay leg at Laurel Highlands. Back in about a month — we'll make July happen. Got a DNF — or a DNOF — story of your own? Go write it at https://chatdnf.com.
